Number one quality 1st cut timothy hay in 2 string bales is traditionally one of the top choices for feeding various types of performance horses. Grown in the fingerlakes region of NY and north western OH this hay is clean timothy cut at optimum maturity. It is green, sweet smelling and will have minimal brown leaf. The bales weight approximately 65lb and a full flatbed trailer load will be 880 bales/27 ton. In our full service area we can deliver smaller loads of 5 to 15 ton if needed as well as provide our unloading and stacking services.

SELECT-CUT Timothy 1st cut hay is excellent for feeding performance horses. This hay is baled in our 3 strap 65lb bales and delivered on 53’ van trailers of 668 bales/22 to 23 ton. Unloading is somewhat difficult and will require 5 men and a hay elevator. We can also deliver smaller loads 5 to 15 ton in our full service area as well as provide our unloading and stacking service.

Washington State Premium Timothy 1st cut hay is as good as it gets. Grown outside of Ellensburg, the area known far and wide to produce the world’s best timothy hay year after year. It is light green, sweet smelling and very clean. This same hay is shipped all over the world to some of the top racing stables as far as the Middle East and China. Premium Timothy is fed to top race horses and other performance horses as a staple source of fiber and protein. In Asia it is also fed to milk cows to increase the percentage of butter fat in milk produced. The hay will normally test around 8 to 9% protein with a 20% point spread between ADF and NDF and have RFV of about 105. Bales are 3 string 105lb and it is shipped in van trailers of 380 bales/20 ton. Unloading can be somewhat difficult and will require 5 men and an elevator. If you are in our full service area we recommend having us unload and stack for you.
#1007 SELECT-CUT WESTERN Premium 2nd cut hay in half cut bales

SELECT-CUT 2nd cut premium western timothy is excellent hay to feed performance horses that get managed amounts of hay in their daily diet. This hay and bale size has become very popular in the standard bred race horse industry. The hay is a soft palatable timothy that is very sweet smelling and very green. Horses eat it very well and the neatly packed bales flake off so it can be fed in measured amounts. The hay will normally test around 16% protein with NDF Fiber of 50 and a RFV of around 105. The hay comes in 50lb compressed bales that are shrink wrapped in blocks (pallets) of 24 bales each. A full load of this hay will be approximately 792 bales/21 ton and comes in a 53’ van trailer. A forklift is very helpful in unloading. We can also deliver small loads of this hay from 96 to 396 bales in our full service area as well as provide our unloading and stacking services.

SELECT-CUT Timothy Alfalfa mix hay is a top choice for feeding performance horses that are actively showing or racing. 1st cut timothy hay is the staple source of fiber in a working horses diet and the 30% of alfalfa gives the hay some sweetness so they eat it very well. Timothy Alfalfa 70/30 mix hay will normally test around 7 to 8% protein, have a Neutral Detergent Fiber of around 60% and RFV of around 80. Our SELECT-CUT branded bales are approximately 65lb and during the compressing process we are able to inspect the hay for quality issues a second time. Full loads of this hay are 668 bales/22 to 23 ton and are delivered on 53’ van trailers. Unloading is somewhat difficult and will require 5 men and a hay elevator. Almost the same hay as our SELECT-CUT bales, 1st cut timothy hay is the staple source of fiber in a working horse’s diet and the 20% of alfalfa gives the hay some sweetness so they eat it very well. Timothy Alfalfa 80/20 mix hay will normally test around 7 to 8% protein, have a Neutral Detergent Fiber of around 60% and RFV of around 80. The hay is baled in nice 2 string 65lb bales that are easy to handle. Delivered on our flatbed trucks a full load will be aprox 860 bales/ 27ton. In our full service areas we can also deliver smaller loads of 5 to 15 ton as well as provide our unloading and stacking service.
#3002 Timothy Grass Mix Hay in 2 String Bales

Timothy Grass mix is great hay to feed pleasure or retired horses that do not need excess energy. This hay is also great for farms where there are a lot of different animals because it is very versatile and can be safely fed to everyone. It is also lower cost hay so it can save you some money. The hay is a mixture of timothy, orchard grass, clover and Kentucky blue grass. It is soft and has a good smell. This hay is sold either by the bale or by the ton depending on customer’s preference. It is delivered either on a 53’ van (aprox 700 bales) or on flatbed trailers (aprox 950 bales) depending on the delivery situation. In the NY, CT area we can also deliver small loads of 200 to 400 bales as well as provide unloading and stacking service.
#3010 Timothy Grass Mix Hay in Large Square Bales

Timothy Grass mix in large square 850lb bales are basically the same hay as our 2 string bales (#3002) or round bales (#3009). This hay and bale type is great for feeding horses or dry cows in a open paddock or can be used as a fiber source in a TMR mix. They are stored inside a barn and bottom bales will not have any black or mold on them. The bales are 3x3x8 and weigh aprox 850lb. They can be easily managed with a tractor bucket equipped with a spear or forks. Large square bales come apart in large flakes similar to small square bales. An ideal way to feed these bales would be to load one bale in a pickup or wagon and drive to where your feeder is, then flake the hay off the bale and toss it in your feeder like you would a small bale. One flake off a large square bale weighs approximately 50lb. Full loads consist of 54 to 60 bales/ 23 to 25 ton depending on the truck.

Timothy Grass mix in round bales is basically the same hay as our 2 string bales (#3002). They are stored inside out of the weather and depending on the batch may be net wrap or poly twine. The bale weight may vary from 600 to 800lb. They can be easily managed with a tractor bucket equipped with a spear. Ideal for feeding horses or dry cows out in paddock. We recommend you use a round bale feeder to save hay from being walked on. We deliver these on a flatbed trailer that will hold 44 to 48 bales.
